David has received a new calling in our ward. He is now the high priest secretary. He was also ordained to the office of high priest. Did you know that you don't have to be a high priest to be the high priest secretary? I didn't. I teased him that he was joining the oldies, but our ward doesn't really have oldies. David IS one of the oldies! Out of about 25 or so high priests, David is the sixth or seventh oldest. Even though he is old, I am really proud of him for being worthy enough to hold the priesthood and bless our family!

Ha ha...I think that Shayne was 30 when he was ordained a high preist, and he was by far the youngest way back then.

That is awesome! We had a kid in our ward in England...yes kid because he was 23 and a high priest. They made him a high priest right off his mission and called him to the high council. It was great to see him in there teaching the HP quorum.
